Nestled in the heart of Marlborough’s famed wine country, the Black Cottage Cricket Ground at 56 Mills and Ford Rd, Blenheim, is a breathtaking venue surrounded by lush vines and home to the United Country and Vineyards Cricket Club.
Marlborough Media is thrilled to showcase our coverage of the Kindred Cup, the premier over-35s cricket tournament, which brought together twelve esteemed clubs from across New Zealand for an unforgettable day of sport, camaraderie, and world-class wines.
The Kindred Cup has become a cherished tournament, renowned for its sense of community and shared love for cricket. This year’s event saw over 400 spectators gather to witness thrilling competition at one of the world’s finest cricket ovals.
Twelve clubs showcased their skill and spirit: Wellington Wanderers Cricket Club, The Willows Cricket Club, Kaimai Cricket Club, Seddon Cricket Club, Clifton County Cricket Club, Ocean Beach County Cricket Club, Greytown Cricket Club, Queen Street Cricket Club, North Shore Cricket Club, Wanaka Old Boys Cricket Club, Haberdashers Cricket Club, and the home team, United Country & Vineyards Cricket Club.
